where a key changes type (e.g., from primitive to object), merging purely based on the override's structure unless both are objects. **Result Validation (`merged.json`):** - `debug` and `remove_this` keys were successfully removed. - `database.pool` values were merged (preserving `min`, updating `max`, adding `idle`). - `features` array was completely replaced. - `server.ssl` object was merged, updating `enabled` and adding `cert`.
